3. Data Collection on This Website
Server Log Files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
We distinguish between essential cookies (technically necessary) and optional cookies (statistics, marketing). Optional cookies are only set after your explicit consent via our cookie consent banner. You can revoke your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this website.
The legal basis for essential cookies is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). For optional cookies, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent).
4. Contact Form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in processing your enquiry).
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory legal provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
5. Spam Protection (Math Challenge)
This website uses a mathematical challenge (CAPTCHA) to protect our forms from automated abuse (spam). The challenge is generated as an SVG image directly on our server. No data is transmitted to external services. No tracking cookies are set and no user profiles are created. Additionally, the form fill time is measured to detect automated submissions.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting our website from spam and abuse).
For more information, please see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
6. Sanity Content Delivery Network (CDN)
This website uses Sanity.io as its content management system. Images displayed on the website are delivered via the Sanity Content Delivery Network (CDN) (cdn.sanity.io). Your IP address is transmitted to the servers of Sanity AS (Norway/EU) in the process. This is technically necessary to deliver the images to your browser.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient and secure delivery of our website content). Consent is not required as image delivery is an essential component of the website functionality.
For more information, please see the Sanity Privacy Policy.
7. Hosting
This website is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Hetzner.
8. SSL/TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
