What began as a one-man workshop in East Berlin is today a modern manufacturing company with over 60 years of experience. We build tools, inject plastic parts and develop our own products — all under one roof, with a team that understands its craft.
History
Over 60 years of Weiland
From a workshop in East Berlin to a modern manufacturing complex. Every step was a decision for quality and craftsmanship.
- 1965
Founded in East Berlin
Master toolmaker Joachim Weiland opens his first workshop with a clear vision. Precision and reliability are not goals — they are the foundation.
- 1995
First Injection Moulding Machine
The first injection moulding machine was acquired in 1995 while the company was still operating in its old premises. Until 1989, the business remained at a low level due to the socialist economic system. After the political change, tool making was systematically modernised: EDM from 1990, CNC milling from 1992 and CAD design from 1995.
- 1996
Relocation to Hoppegarten
A newly built company complex in the commercial area on the eastern outskirts of Berlin. Room for growth, space for innovation.
- 2006
Business Expansion
The injection moulding hall was rebuilt in 2006 and occupied afterwards. The first hall extension had already taken place in 2002 with the addition of what is now the milling shop, then the injection moulding area. In 2012, the current garage with compressor room and CAM room was added.
- 2006
New Generation
The handover to the next generation took effect on 1 January 2006. The GmbH & Co. KG and the GbR had already been founded in 2005.
- 2015
Innovation Award 2015
Brandenburg Innovation Award for Plastics and Chemistry for the development of a modular pump head system.
- 2025
Acquisition by Avena
Sale of the company for succession reasons to Avena, an industrial holding from Munich specialising in business successions.
